Trip realised by using a bus service running between Hejnice and Smědava. This trip is more demanding so we recommend it to advanced hikers only.
From Smědava we will follow a blue sign in the direction of a place called Pod Jizerou (Under the mount Jizera). There we change for a yellow line which will take us to the top of mount Jizera (1122 m above a sea level). We would like to turn your attention to a nearby wonderful peat-bog area called Na Čihadlech. From the mount Jizera we will come back to the place called Pod Jizerou and then continue along a yellow line towards the top of a mount Smědava (1084 m above a sea level). Then we will continue past rocks Polední kameny (1006 m above a sea level) to the rock Frýdlantské cimbuří (900 m above a sea level). Under its peak we will change for a green line, and then go past an outlook Hajní kostel (640 m above a sea level) and waterfalls on the brook Černý Potok in the direction of the crossroads. From there go to the end of a valley, then following a yellow sign we will find our way to the town Hejnice. In Hejnice look for a red line which will lead us safely back to Lázně Libverda.
The whole route is about 24 kilometres long.
The town is surrounded by mixed forests which together with its location set its climate charakter. A Halley where the town is situated is closed by mount Smrk (1124 m). There can be found a part of a Nature reservation „Jizerské bučiny" and a natural commemoration "Klečoviště na Smrku". For its wonderful setting Lázně Libverda becomes one of the most impressive destinations.
