This trip is more demanding so we recommend it to advanced hikers only.
Starting from a spa colonnade we will follow a red sign towards the town Hejnice, to a basilique. It is definitely worth of visiting as this place is significant for all pilgrims. From there we will follow a green sign forward to a village Ferdinandov, to the Lesni Restaurant, and then to a place known as „Nad Ferdinandovem“(Above Ferdinandov). There we will change for a yellow sign and go to waterfalls on the brook Velký Štolpich. On our way we can have a break by a memorial of Mainwald`s Death. On 2 February 1930, Gustav Mainwald from Ferdinandov tragically died under a sledge in the gorge of Velký Štolpich. And ever since the memorial has been standing nearby the bridge to remember the tragedy. After visiting the waterfalls, we will follow a red sign towards the hill Ořešník (800 m above a sea level) and from there we will just follow a red sign in the direction of the town Hejnice and then to our starting point – town Lázně Libverda.
The whole route is about 14 kilometres long.
The town is surrounded by mixed forests which together with its location set its climate charakter. A Halley where the town is situated is closed by mount Smrk (1124 m). There can be found a part of a Nature reservation „Jizerské bučiny" and a natural commemoration "Klečoviště na Smrku". For its wonderful setting Lázně Libverda becomes one of the most impressive destinations.
