From a spa colonnade we will follow a red sign which takes us along a spa path, past a Hubert`s spring, up towards the town. Later on we will get to crossroads, take a main road, then follow it past dogs` training ground and a Jizerka chalet to a Hubert`s chalet. Not far away is a rock outlook called Kočičí kameny (Cat`s Rocks) that is definitely worth to see, climb up and have a look around. Then come back to the Hubert`s chalet and following a red sign we will go towards Francouzské kameny (French Rocks) and an area called „Tišina“, still along a red sign which will take us under so-called Nebeský žebřík (Heaven Ladder). Then about one and a half of kilometers of steep rise along a blue sign are ahead of us, before we will reach the highest peak of the Jizera Mountains on the Czech side – a mount Smrk (1124 m above a sea level). The route can be lengthen by a trip to Polish side of the mountains. We just have to follow a green sign and then we will be awarded by a view at the highest peak on Polish side called Stog Izerski (1127 m above a sea level). There we can even have light refreshment in a nearby restaurant before going back using the same route we used to get there.
The whole route is about 21 kilometers long.
